Scrambles in the Lake District

Area Details

Scrambles in the Lake District
This section is intended to provide members with the opportunity to contribute articles about their scrambling experiences in the Lake District.
However, it should be understood, especially by anyone new to scrambling, that this can often be one of the most dangerous aspects of mountaineering. It is recommended that the following article on the British Mountaineering Council should be read before any scrambling is undertaken:-
http://www.thebmc.co.uk/Feature.aspx?id=1743

Members are encouraged to send articles, either by clicking on the ‘Add Walk’ link, or by contacting the walks editor at walks@frcc.co.uk and attaching the article to the email, preferably as a Word document. It would also be useful if relevant photographs could be submitted.
This is also a section which could be used to record new scrambling routes in the Lakes, although it must be understood that gradings for any such routes are necessarily subjective and anyone attempting to repeat them must be aware of their capabilities in scrambling situations.

BEFORE MAKING USE OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE DISCLAIMER, WHICH CAN BE ACCESSED FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE, IS READ AND UNDERSTOOD.
