ref your accusation of mark not climbing in winter conditions.i have on several occasions driven to scotland with mark walked up to routes only to turn round and drive all the way home as we do not climb on wet turf.mark is a very ethical climber who climbs hard routes,ground up,without pre inspection or prior summer knowledge.as for your judgement on the grade you really should not pass comment untill you have repeated it.this season alone mark has climbed a series of classic scottish grade7 and 8 `s inc prore,men in black so i think he is well qualified to grade routes.
