Description:
The Hoff.
Interesting discussions about these as routes or boulder problems, all I know is that my mat looked far too small while pulling over the top and that suggests to me that these are routes. I certainly wouldn't like to test the shock absobent powers of foam from much more than half height. I offer the following comments on grades.
Dig for Victory, MVS 4c, suspect rock at top but can get sling on tree to Left.
Shades VS 4b, bold.
The walls can be climbed almost anywhere and I thought that Slosh Wall and Spare rib were particularly artificial, the former felt more like HS 4a.
The wall beteen Burrells and The Arete is also pleasant and suitably artificial at about S

Otterstones.
Visited, was damp & weeping. Most routes looked in poor condition with well developed moss coatings. needs a spring clean with consent of owners?
