The coordinates for the start and finish of the route are SD 277 002 and SD 275 000 in the OL 6 English Lakes map. The route takes a stepped ridge hidden around the back of Great How Crags.
Approach by continuing north from Levers Water reservoir keeping Great How Crags to your left. After approximately 600 m turn left up the hill side with the obvious ridge line in view. You should pass an old aeroplane engine before reaching it’s foot.
Start up a 5 m crack on the right hand side of the ridge. Continue up walls separated by grass terraces, most steps can be climbed at VD, to add more interest some steps can be climbed by alternative lines at up to S. At approximately 200 m a slabby wall with a cracked block on top proves awkward (can be avoided using a small chimney to the right of the crack).
A good little adventure!
