The most recent FRCC guide (and Rockfax) both gloss over the remarkable top pitch and suggest escaping via an alternative finish or by abseil after P2. They also strangely down-grade it and the photo lines of the pitch and adjacent pitches are unclear. The 1988 guide description is spot-on – ‘climb the lurid green overhanging crack’ (5b). This is perfectly climbable despite the moss, probably the crux of the whole route and certainly the most characterful part of a characterful trip!
