General Information

In common with other websites, log files are stored on the web server saving details such as the visitor’s IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit.

Cookies are used to store certain data such as a member’s login during their use of the website.

Where registration is required, email, name, login details, and contact details will be stored. Hut and event booking information will also be stored on the server. The information gathered will not be made available to any individual or organisation outwith the FRCC.

  • Email addresses will never be shared.
  • Emails are sent to inform members of club news, offers, etc. Each email contains an unsubscribe option.

IP ADDRESSES

We do store IP address data, but this is not linked to personal information. IP address information is held and processed for very general demographic purposes only; it’s useful for us to know the number of visitors to our website, and their geographic distribution.

COOKIES

Most websites will use cookies in order to improve user experience by enabling that website to remember certain details, either for the duration of your visit or for repeat visits.

Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, storing your preferences, and generally improving your experience of a website. Cookies make the interaction between you and the website faster and easier. If a website doesn’t use cookies, it will think you are a new visitor every time you move to a new page on the site – for example, when you enter your login details and move to another page it won’t recognise you and it won’t be able to keep you logged in.

Some websites will also use cookies to enable them to target their advertising or marketing messages based for example, on your location and browsing habits. The FRCC does not do this.

Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting (first party cookies) or they may be set by other websites that run content on the page you are viewing (third party cookies).

COOKIE SETTINGS

You may opt to change your cookie settings via your browser – your browser help function will tell you how. Alternatively, you may wish to visit www.aboutcookies.org which contains information on how to do this on a wide variety of desktop browsers.

This website does work without cookies, but you will lose some features and functionality if you choose to disable cookies.

THIRD PARTY COOKIES

To enhance our content, we may embed photos, video and social media content from websites such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Pages with this embedded content may use cookies from these websites. This website can not control these cookies. You should check the relevant third party website for more information about these.
