Martin Scrowston has recently visited the crag and reports the following:

All the routes have been cleaned and climbed, they are sound and in good condition. Unfortunately three trees have been affected by the ash dieback fungus.

1. The large ash tree in the centre of the crag that marked the start of the route Essential Vagrancy is dead and has now largely collapsed.

2. The right hand of the two trees referred to on the routes Gravadlax Groove and The Catch is also now completely deceased.

3. The crag top ash directly above Salmon Leap is badly affected and unlikely to survive the year.

Luckily none of the routes has been directly affected by the demise of the trees, in fact I suspect the crag will now enjoys a slightly more open aspect.
