A left to right girdle traverse of the buttress along the obvious break at about half height. Start up Maiden’s Chimney until it small overlap on the left wall is reached. An awkward move across this allows the arete to be gained and the horizontal fault running the length of the crag. Follow the fault to a difficult step round an arete into the groove of Maiden’s Groove. Continue under the nose and finish up past the Ash tree as for Maiden’s Nose.
