The Borrowdale Routes Archive contains the details of routes not included in most recent Borrowdale guidebook (2016).
Quote from the guidebook page 14 “Poor and overgrown routes and, in some cases, entire crags have been omitted from this guide and descriptions placed in the Archive section of the FRCC website.”

Nitting Haws is a section not included in the final version of the 2016 Borrowdale Guidebook.

The First Ascent Lists are scanned from previous guidebooks, so for example the 1990 list will contain the routes from the previous list plus any new ones, it may also contain different comments about the routes.

The story of Borrowdale Climbing contains the ‘historical’ sections written for previous guidebooks. Collected together they make up a story of climbing in Borrowdale.
To Quote from the introduction: “These five short historical summaries were originally published within the FRCC Borrowdale Guidebooks and view the development of rock climbing in Borrowdale from the perspective of the times.”
