The road closures at Beetham have changed again and there has been another very late announcement.
The road was due to stay closed until 31st March 2024 but on 28th March Westmorland and Furness Council announced it would be open from 29th March so everyone can enjoy getting stuck in the traffic over Easter. And after the children have gone back to school the pass will close again on 16th April until 30th . But don’t hold your breath on 30th …… or, more importantly, risk a ride over the pass.
Beetham can only be reached via Glenridding/Patterdale during the closure other than on foot or mountain bike.
