Ignore that and continue instead up over the small overhang and groove above as for the final section of Waste Not, Want Not. This provides no new climbing but it makes for a great pitch, especially if done in one run out, being even more direct (obviously!) and more consistently graded with both pitches now 5b. Quite possibly done before, either deliberately or in error; but worth recording as an option.
I led this 30 September 2002, highly unlikely to be a first ascent. As Max points out it is an obvious link up of existing routes and avoids a wild traverse for those that don’t like them. It will have been climbed before my 2002 ascent, possibly I have, by many others. A worthwhile addition/amalgamation to note though.
