The direct line of Fear and Loafing. Start and finish as Fear and Loafing, where it moves right climb straight up, just right of the blunt arête, to join the parent route at the left end of its hand traverse at the overhang.

  1. Even better than the parent route, Fear and Loafing! But only just worth the second E point. Maybe we need those decimal E grades from the Duddon? Then this would be E1.6 (i.e. with rounding, E2). The tricky bit is reading where and what gear might be coming up…

    1. Good addition to this part of the crag. Agree with Pete, just E2. Beware the loose flake near the crux.
