The route takes a line up the longest section of rock at the right end of the amphitheatre. Start at a steep wall beneath a slab.

1 23m 5c Climb the slightly overhanging wall, then continue up leftwards (cracks) to gain the slab. Climb the slab near its right edge (easy), then traverse left to belay near the corner beneath the large tree.

2 12m 4b Climb the leaning corner 3m right of the large tree, then traverse left to belay at the tree.

3 15m 4a Climb the grassy corner and short rib, then scramble up to block and tee belays.

  1. Steve Scott reports that ‘This very poor climb takes the highest section of continuous rock towards the right side of the amphitheatre, passing the large tree. The blocks at the start of the second pitch are unstable and care is required. The first pitch is worth climbing; an abseil descent from the tree is recommended’.

    Revised description
Start at the right-hand end of a steep cracked wall.
1 23m 5c Climb the technical wall then continue up cracks to gain a slab. The right edge leads easily to a traverse left to belay beneath the large tree.
2 27m 4b Climb over blocks (care) to the leaning corner 3m right of the tree. Climb this then traverse left. Continue above the tree up a grass corner and short rib, then walk up rightwards to block and tree belays.
