Route Comment: Savage Grooves
Posted by: Stephen Reid, 09.07.2019 Savage Grooves (climbed in 2008) by Chris Dale and myself was graded HVS (4b, 4c, 5a, 5a). After a repeat ascent by Brian Davison and myself, it is felt it should actually be E1 (4c, 4c, 5b, 5b). Despite being north-facing and quite dirty, it is actually a good enjoyable line as long as conditions are bone dry. It’s worth doubling up on smaller size cams from Friend 2 downwards.
