Route Feedback: North Buttress Low Wether Crag
Posted by: Neil Lewis, 03.05.2026

An excellent mountaineering route in a quiet part of the District. The route is well described in the guidebook (Dow and Coppermines p173) and easy to follow despite the copious amount of moss. Choose a dry period and holds are easy to clean. The crag faces East not West as described on p170. An addition to the approach would add that the descent to the crag off the ridge is just after passing a giant boulder on your left. The route is sparely protected and therefore best climbed by those with grades in hand. Well worth the effort and the star awarded.
