Over the winter of 2025-26 this long-neglected granite quarry near Muncaster Castle in Lower Eskdale has been transformed into a quality sport climbing venue with 40 well bolted routes, the majority of which are in the 6s. Parking is very limited so please park responsibly.

Parking may be a major issue here and recent visitors have suggested that careful parking on the main road may be the best option to reduce the risk of creating an issue with the local community which could compromise access.
