Hi Folks. Myself and my good friend Jayne Moss are running a welcome meet at Salving House on August 16th/17th of 2024. We aim to lead a walk on the Saturday and welcome anyone who wishes to join us. However it’s not compulsory and anyone who wishes to do their own thing can do so.
On the Saturday we aim to do a Chicken/beef pie, mushy peas and gravy for an evening meal…. for a nominal fee. Again it’s not compulsory and if you wish to provide your own food then that’s ok. If anyone has allergies though, I would recommend you bring your own food as I cannot guarantee the contents of the pies as it’s the butchers secret recipe.
Afterwards there will be a short quiz for those who wish to participate.
I would imagine that anyone who is a none member (aspirant) will be be booked in by a member and should be made aware of the rules and requirements of staying in an FRCC hut. But basically bring food for two days breakfasts, evening meal and packed lunch. Don’t forget your sleeping bag!
