Mid-Week Day Meet, Climbing at Kyloe Crag, Northumberland

Climbing
Kyloe Crag (‘Kyloe Out’) near Belford, Northumberland is a popular sandstone crag with good quality climbs across a range of grades. It is in a lovely setting and quite sheltered from the prevailing westerly winds so can be a fairly reliable climbing venue.

The plan is to meet up at Kyloe Crag from around 11 AM – allowing people to come for a full or half day / climb on to the evening if they wish.

Pub
There is a good bar in the Blue Bell Hotel in Belford which is close by – so there is the option for people to call in there before heading home.

Wet weather alternative
Bouldering in the caves at Back Bowden Doors (the caves stay dry even in heavy rain).
