Trollers Gill Day Meet May 2nd

Trollers Gill is a sport climbing venue near Parcevall Hall, just beyond Appletreewick and in a lovely setting.
See Northern Rock (Wired), York Sport 2023 or UKC for routes. The latter two include the recent clutch of 5’s on the “jewellery” slab.

Parking/approach-

If possible, car sharing recommended. Parking for 8-9 cars on the verge (currently rather cut up) just before Parcevall Hall. ( GR SE 067 608).

Follow the public footpath signed “New Road 1mile/The Gill” ( not as described on UKC), from just before Parcevall Hall.
The cafe/tea garden run by Love Brownies should be open 10.00-5pm.

If there is no space to park on the verge- Parcevall Hall may let you use their car park, if not busy. Just ask. Cost £8/7 (concessions).

Alternatively, park on New Road on the verge ( GR SE 063 615 or SE 062 619)and walk down the public footpath(s) to either below the Gill or higher up the Gill, then criscross the stream down to the climbing.

Meet at 10.00 at the parking, or at the crag.

Wet weather alternative- Harrogate Wall (probably, but tbc). I will post on the Club FB site and the NW Adhoc Whatsapp group by 7pm on Monday eve if its the wet weather alternative.
